Indication
Pre- and post-surgery*, temporary immobility.
PEP
COPD, pulmonary emphysema, bronchial asthma CF, chronic bronchitis.
Most important contraindication****
Relative***: severe heart failure, untreated pulmonary emphysema, untreated bronchial asthma, untreated pneumothorax, neuromuscular diseases.
PEP
Untreated pneumothorax, serious haemoptysis (blood-expectorating cough), oesophageal surgery or surgery on the tracheal or bronchial system, eardrum rupture.
Recommended use
– Several times a day and as needed, approx. 1–3 minutes
PEP
– 2–3 x a day, with prolonged exhalation for approx. 20 breaths each time

RC-Mask Tracheostoma
The RC-Mask Tracheostoma enables tracheotomized patients to perform respiratory therapy and respiratory training with the RC-FIT® PEP/IMT. The RC-Mask Tracheostoma is simply plugged onto the mouthpiece of the RC-FIT® model and then placed on the open tracheostoma.
